Frances Martin grew up in a musical family in Monterey County, California. As a child, she received classical training from pianist Lyn Bronson of Carmel, California. She attended Pacific Music Camp in Stockton, California for two summers, studying with Frank Wiens, and performing Beethoven’s Piano Concerto #3 with the music camp orchestra. In high school, Frances became a piano student of Hans Boepple at Santa Clara, California. She also attended the summer program at the Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara, California, studying with Paul Schenly. Frances earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from Santa Clara University. She maintains a private studio in Fremont, California where she is a piano teacher to students of all ages and levels. Her students are consistently selected to perform at MTAC Certificate of Merit Branch Honors Recitals and CAPMT Festival Recitals.
